10X42MM JR SERIES BINOCULARS

$1110
The JR Series full sized binoculars from Carson feature a close-focus and waterproof design. They are available in both 8x42mm (JR-842) and 10x42mm (JR-042) sizes. The JR Series binoculars contain BAK-4 prisms and fully multi-coated optics for extremely sharp and crisp image quality. They are both o-ring sealed and nitrogen purged making them both waterproof and fogproof. Superior close-focus capabilities allow you to focus on objects as close as 20 feet in front of you. The large objective lenses allow for greater light gathering capabilities even in low-light conditions. Large focus wheel turns smoothly for precise focus adjustments. Independent right diopter adjustment makes it possible to adjust the focus to allow for strength differences in each eye.

Chem C3000 Chemistry Kit

$2520
This is the ultimate chemistry kit! Thames & Kosmos Chem C3000 kit contains everything in their Chem C1000 and Chem C2000 kits, plus more chemicals and equipment. You'll be able to perform over 350 chemistry experiments. The kit comes in a box containing two foam packing trays. The company reserves the right to make technical changes in the kit, so there isn't much point in listing the exact contents of the box I received, but I will say it included a 192-page paperback color lab manual, safety glasses, stickers for labeling chemicals, test tubes, a test tube holder and test tube brush, a funnel, graduated beakers, pipettes, stoppers, an alcohol burner, a tripod stand, electrodes, brown bottles for storing light-sensitive chemicals, rubber hoses, glass tubing, filter paper, an evaporating dish, an Erlenmeyer flask, a plastic syringe, litmus powder, an assortment of other lab necessities, and numerous containers of chemicals. As you might expect, there's nothing particularly dangerous with respect to waste disposal (e.g., no mercury, carbon tetrachloride, etc.), but it's a serious set, intended for hands-on, old-school chemistry experimentation. The experiments introduce the investigator to the proper use of chemistry lab equipment and cover general chemistry and introductory organic essentials.

My First Physics Lab

$500
Speed, power, catapults, and collisions! Physics is full of action! Kids will have the 20 models in this introductory physics kit racing, rolling, flying, falling, crashing, balancing, and spinning around in 22 action-packed science experiments. After following step-by-step illustrated instructions to build each model, kids test the models to demonstrate and comprehend basic laws of mechanical physics. While building the models and reading through the manual, young researchers learn about various topics in the fascinating world of mechanical physics and engineering. Start your physics adventures by building a balancing tightrope walker, a moving elevator, and a high-g astronaut training centrifuge to learn about forces, gravity, and weight. Learn how to measure forces by building a force meter. Examine physics at the construction site to learn about work and simple machines. Build a pulley system, crane, and inclined plane to lighten the load and make work easier. Experiment with storing energy and converting energy by constructing models of a rocket car and a skee-ball mini golf ramp. Assemble three machines from the Middle Ages ? a wheelbarrow, a balance scale, and a trebuchet ? to learn how levers have helped people do work for centuries. Explore the concept of trajectory. Continue your lessons by building a windmill, a drop-test device, and various parachutes to investigate the forces of air and air resistance. Expand your perspective out into the solar system to discover the force and motion of the planets and the sun. Build a sundial and a rotating Earth-and-Moon model. Take a crash course in applied physics with a series of automotive models and experiments: Construct a crash-test simulator and an airbag testing station to learn about momentum. Assemble a working gear train to learn how gears transmit and alter forces. Finally, make an all-wheel drive vehicle with a flexible jointed design for optimal performance on rough terrain.
