• A rocky journey for Diesel Diesel may think he's superior to the steam engines, but like most of the other Thomas & Friends characters on Sodor, he loves feeling really useful. However, occasionally he finds himself in a tricky situation - like getting trapped in an old mining tunnel! Diesel may have put himself in this rocky position, but children can be the ones to help get him out!
• Rescuing Diesel is a blast Flip the switch on motorized Diesel to send him around the oval track layout, and when he reaches the tunnel, he'll get stuck inside. Kids can help Diesel escape by pressing the dynamite detonator and blasting the boulders to clear a path. Once the boulders are blown from the tunnel exit, Diesel will continue on his way. The boulders can also be stacked back in place easily, so once Diesel is free, children can reset the rocks to relive the rescue again and again! Plus, Diesel features unique rock designs on his roof and sides for a more authentic boulder-blasted look!
• The benefits of play The Thomas & Friends TrackMaster Tunnel Blast Set offers exciting, fun-filled play that can encourage physical and cognitive development. The sights, colors and textures provide an array of visual and tactile stimulation, while grasping the train and connecting the track pieces can promote fine motor skills. As children learn how to blast the boulders to help Diesel escape and reset them to recreate the action, it can also foster thinking skills and understanding of cause and effect. Plus, as children join Diesel on his adventure, it can help inspire imaginations and encourage positive emotional connections.
